Crystal Bees, located in the Hartford County town of Southington at 240 Spring St., announced its immediate closure on Tuesday, Nov. 5 in a post on social media and its website.

In its announcement, the business, which consisted of a bowling alley, arcade, music venue, bistro, and bar, attributed its end to "the current economic landscape," which made it hard for it to "continue as a restaurant and entertainment venue."

"From unforgettable birthday parties to live music nights and everything in between, each moment we’ve shared with you has meant the world to us," the business owners added in their announcement, also adding that any ticket purchases or event deposits would be fully refunded.

"Thank you for being a part of our journey. Crystal Bees would not have been the vibrant space it was without you, whether you joined us for bowling nights, battled it out in the arcade, enjoyed delicious meals at our bistro, or raised a glass at the bar," the owners continued.

The announcement drew mixed reactions from commenters on social media.

"Thank you Crystal Bees for all the memories. So many fun nights with some of my closest friends," wrote one commenter.

"Went 3 times last yr … service was awful. Not surprised," said another.
